"Once upon a time there was a fighter. In the early 1980s, a messenger from outer space brought war to the human race..."
Mahoromatic Automatic Maiden is about a battle android who, after protecting the Earth from invading aliens for a long time, is discharged from her duty. If she continues to wear her armor, she only has 37 days to live. However, if she is to take it off, she can live for more than a year: 398 days, to be exact. She chooses to do the latter. And because she prefers to do something productive instead of waiting until her time is up, she begins working as a maid to an orphaned boy. Her interaction with him as well as his friends is quite hilarious and heartwarming. However, this anime is not for everyone. It's a bit ecchi (there are slight nudity and sexual innuendoes, but nothing too extreme) and is certainly not for kids or immature people) to see.
Why make a MAM fanlisting? Because it deserves one? Seriously, MAM is a great anime (and manga) series. The artwork may not be that spectacular to some people (excluding me, of course), but everything else about it is just superb. The characters are well-rounded and the storyline is interesting. So why not unite all people who feel the same way as me?
