Adachi Momo, Tojikamori Kazuya, Okayasu Kairi, et al are characters from Miwa Ueda's ultra fab series,
Peach Girl.
Adachi Momo has been in love with Tojikamori Kazuya (Toji) since junior high. Only one thing is stopping her from telling him how she truly feels: her skin colour. You see, a malicious classmate once told her that Toji dislikes dark-skinned girls and, because she's heavily tanned, she's no exception. When Momo finally learns that this is not the case, she and Toji become a couple. Their relationship is put on hold when the manipulative and envious Kashiwagi Sae set her eyes on him. Sae spreads vicious lies about Momo and he unwittingly believes them.
Happy-go-lucky Okayasu Kairi has had feelings for Momo ever since she saved him from drowning and he's quite vocal when it comes to expressing them. Even when Momo and Toji start going out, he still pursues her. When Toji shatters Momo's heart, Kairi is there to pick up the pieces. Wanting Momo to be happy again, Kairi cleverly exposes how rotten Sae is to Toji and their classmates. Because of him, Momo and Toji resume their relationship (and Momo is no longer victimized by their classmates). Unfortunately, Sae hasn't completely given up. She blackmails Toji into breaking up with Momo by taking a photograph of Momo and a male model in a compromising position and threatening to show it to everyone. Toji, convinced that Momo's reputation will be ruined, once again breaks Momo's heart without telling her why.
Kairi consoles Momo when she finds out that Touji and Sae are now a couple and she eventually falls in love with him. Their blooming romance, however, is threatened when Ryo, his older brother, tries to steal Momo away. Momo realizes that he's just as bad as Sae though. Just as she and Kairi are becoming even closer, she finds out that he also loves (or is still in love) with Misao-chan, the school nurse. She tells this to Toji (as she no longer pines for him) and he helps her deal with the situation. Not wanting to give Kairi up, she tries to make him fall in love more with her.
(There's more to the Toji-Momo-Kairi relationship, but I don't have time to rewatch episodes 17-25 right now. Sorry.)
So why did I make a fanlisting for their love triangle? Because it's cute! The ups and downs, the twists and turns, in their relationship intrigue me. If you feel the same as me, why not join this fanlisting and show/spread the love! Come on. You know you want to.
