OPINION

There were some things that bugged me after watching all sixteen episodes of this show. I know they may sound trivial to you, but I thought I'd state them here. Please don't flame me just 'cause you don't agree with me, okay? First of all, those extras. You know, those people that looked like fingers. They were not as important as the main characters, but would it have killed the animators to make them a bit more visually-pleasing? I realize animation is not cheap and easy, but still... And then there was that scene in episode 01 when the store manager coughed up blood. I found that really gross. What was that all about? I doubt it was necessary to the so-called plot. There was also the use of crude words like "pissed." Gema said that after trying to squish Dejiko. It might have been just the subber. Oh well. Lastly, those characters who f*rted. Though they got a few chuckles from me, they just contradicted the overall cuteness of the show.

Of course, there were redeeming qualities about this show too. I wouldn't have made a shrine if I didn't like it. The cuteness was one thing. The major characters' personalities and voices, especially Puchiko and Kimura's, were just so lovable. And the songs were upbeat and catchy. Even now I find myself humming the opening theme, "Only One, Number One." The storyline for each episode was unpredictable and downright crazy. Imagine a ten year old Dejiko dreaming about a bowl of steamy rice. Or her thinking about making a naughty doujinshi. Or Rabi-En-Rose's parents leaving her with just a pair of dice so she could be poor and make a debut as an idol. Or Puchiko getting possessed by a snail spirit. Or surviving after a whole building exploded. Wacky, I tell you.
