FANFICTION

A Surprised Kimura

It was a fine Saturday morning and, as usual, Dejiko and Gema-Gema were bickering over who would eat the last dumpling. (AN: I'm not sure if Gema eats, but just bare with me, okay?) Puchiko decided to go outside for a while because she didn't want to get involved in the fight. She went to the park where she knew a lot of pretty birds were being fed by old people.

She sat on a nearby bench and watched the birds for a little while. Then she decided to go to her favourite spot near the lake. When she was near, she saw Kimura all by himself. He looked so sad. She approached him and asked what was wrong.

"Oh Puchiko-chan! It's just that it's my birthday today and nobody remembers." He motioned for her to sit beside him and she did.

"Is that all, nyu? Do you really want others to know that you're a year older, nyu?"

"Birthdays are supposed to be celebrated with your loved-ones. That makes them even more special."

"Really? Then why don't you celebrate it with me, nyu? Let's have fun!" Puchiko stood up and grabbed Kimura's hand. He was more than happy to comply.

The two then went to the mall where they had their pictures taken. Then Puchiko led him to where the kiddie carousel was located. She rode on a pink horse while he rode on a blue one. After a couple of turns, Kimura treated her to the most scrumptious cake he could buy. After all, she was only a kid and therefore couldn't afford it.

They did other fun things together. They decided to go home sometime in the afternoon. Kimura walked Puchiko back to the Gamers Store to make sure that she was safe. When he was about to leave, she asked him if he could help her with something. He entered the store and noticed that it was too dark. When he turned the lights on, he was surprised. In front of him were his friends. There were balloons and streamers everywhere. The table was filled with delicious food, too.

He turned his attention to the little girl beside him and smiled. She was holding a box. She handed it to him and told him to open it. The box contained a hat similar to what she was wearing.

"Oh, Puchiko-chan! It's beautiful!" He then proceeded to hug her. He faced his friends again and exclaimed, "Thanks everyone! This is the best birthday ever!"

(I know that was a simple story, but I kinda liked how it turned out. I couldn't really make this into a romance fic since Puchiko is only five years old. Anyway, what did you think? Too bleh? Oh well.)
