CHARACTER PROFILES

Di Gi Charat aka Dejiko is the ten-year old star of the show. She aspires to be a famous idol and is often seen bickering with Rabi En Rose, her rival. She has a terrible temper; she uses her mekara beam a lot on Rabi En Rose and Gema. She can be manipulative, insensitive, selfish, and naughty at times. She has two crazy otakus (fans). She adds "nyo" at the end of her sentences.

Petit Charat aka Puchiko is five years younger than Dejiko. She's a bit more mellow compared to her sister (I think they're related); she doesn't get angry that much that's why she rarely uses her mekara beam. She can be mischievous at times. For instance, she tries to sell Minagawa a trading card for thousands of yen. She adds "nyu" at the end of her sentences.

Rabi en Rose aka Usada is fourteen years old. Her parents gave her a pair of dice before they left for America. They wanted her to be poor and then make a debut as an idol. She works at the same store where Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema work. She can be seen competing against Dejiko all the time. She doesn't add anything at the end of her sentences since she's from Earth.

Gema is that yellow, squishie thing that acts as a guardian for Dejiko and Puchiko. Just like Rabi En Rose, he's almost always bickering with Dejiko. For instance, he scolds her for planning to make Kimura and Minagawa pose for a naughty doujinshi. He is a constant victim to her mekara beam. He adds "gema" at the end of his sentences.

Kimura Takurou is the bishounen in this series. He doesn't like it when people mess up words. For example, adding weird words at the end of the sentences (though he makes an exception when it comes to Puchiko). He can be very melodramatic at times. He adores little Puchiko. He can be seen hugging her or giving her gifts. He was the one who told her the reason why she couldn't use her mekara beam.

Minagawa Takurou gets spooked and fooled easily as evident in episode 03. He's almost always hungry all the time. He eats food that has been on the floor. He is very good when it comes to exorcising clam spirits. He is in love with Rabi En Rose and is thus rooting for her. He and Kimura scold Dejiko when she tosses Gema into the river.

"The Thing" (that's what Dejiko calls it) first appears in episode 04, when Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema are on a picnic. It chases them all the way to the store and has stayed there since. It doesn't really do or say anything. It does save everyone by devouring the dinosaur that is attacking the city.
